QP Architect / Senior Architect / Associate | Major Government Development | Singapore

The Opportunity:
We are recruiting for an established architectural practice in Singapore seeking a BOA Registered Architect with Qualified Person (QP) status to join its team on a major new-build government office development.

This is an opportunity to take on a significant role in the delivery of a high-profile institutional project, working across architectural design, technical coordination, statutory approvals and construction.

The position is open to experienced Project Architects, Senior Architects and candidates operating up to Associate level. We are particularly interested in architects who combine strong Singapore project delivery experience with a thorough understanding of local building regulations, authority requirements and construction processes.

Previous experience working on projects for Singapore government agencies would be advantageous, although it is not essential.

The Role:
The successful candidate will take a leading role in the architectural coordination and delivery of a major new-build government office development in Singapore.

Working alongside the wider architectural and consultant teams, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project meets statutory requirements, technical standards, design objectives and construction programme milestones.
This is a hands-on architectural position requiring strong technical capability, sound professional judgement and the confidence to manage authority submissions, multidisciplinary coordination and project delivery.

Depending on experience and seniority, the role will also involve supervising project architects and designers, reviewing technical documentation and providing leadership across the project team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Qualified Person (QP) for architectural works, taking responsibility for relevant statutory submissions and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and coordinate architectural work packages for a major new-build government office development.
  • Manage submissions, approvals and technical consultations with relevant Singapore authorities, including URA, BCA, SCDF and other statutory agencies as required.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, client representatives, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee architectural design development, detailed documentation, tender preparation and construction-stage coordination.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules and technical submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure that architectural solutions meet the requirements of Singapore building codes, planning regulations, fire safety standards and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with structural, M&E and other specialist consultants to resolve technical and design issues.
  • Manage architectural interfaces and ensure effective coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material proposals and technical queries during construction.
  • Attend project coordination meetings, authority consultations and site meetings as required.
  • Monitor architectural deliverables, project programmes and key submission milestones.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and architectural designers.
  • Support the successful delivery of the project while maintaining high standards of design quality, documentation and professional compliance.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
  • BOA Registered Architect in Singapore with Qualified Person (QP) status. This is essential.
  • Substantial experience delivering architectural projects in Singapore, ideally involving large-scale commercial, institutional, civic or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore statutory regulations, building codes, authority submissions and approval processes.
  • Proven experience managing architectural projects through design development, technical documentation, tender and construction stages.
  • Experience coordinating with URA, BCA, SCDF and other relevant Singapore authorities.
  • Strong technical architectural knowledge, including construction detailing, building systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors and architectural project teams.
  • Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural documentation software would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience working with Singapore government agencies or delivering public-sector developments is preferred but not essential.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a technically accomplished, delivery-focused Registered Architect who can confidently take on QP responsibilities while contributing to the successful delivery of a significant new-build project.
You may currently be working as a Project Architect, Senior Architect, Associate or in a similar position within an established Singapore architectural practice.
You will have strong local regulatory knowledge, experience managing complex architectural packages and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, authorities, consultants and contractors.
Above all, you will be someone who enjoys the technical and delivery aspects of architecture and is comfortable taking professional responsibility for a substantial project.
