Our Commitment
FORM Careers is committed to conducting its business ethically, responsibly and with respect for fundamental human rights. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced or compulsory labour, servitude, debt bondage, child labour and other forms of exploitation within our business operations, recruitment activities and business relationships.
As a specialist recruitment consultancy operating from Singapore and Australia and providing recruitment and executive search services internationally, we recognise our responsibility to promote fair and ethical recruitment and to remain alert to potential worker exploitation.
We will not knowingly participate in or facilitate recruitment or employment arrangements involving modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, deceptive recruitment or other serious forms of exploitation.
Ethical Recruitment & Worker Protection
FORM Careers requires its employees, workers, representatives and agents to conduct recruitment fairly, transparently and ethically.
We prohibit forced, compulsory or bonded labour, debt bondage and human trafficking. We also prohibit child labour, including hazardous or exploitative work and the worst forms of child labour.
FORM Careers does not charge candidates or workers recruitment fees for securing employment, and our employees, representatives and agents are prohibited from doing so.
We prohibit the unlawful withholding, retention, confiscation or destruction of workers’ passports, identity documents, immigration documents, visas or work permits. Where an original document is temporarily required for a legitimate administrative purpose, it must be handled with the individual’s knowledge and consent and returned promptly.
Employment should be freely chosen. FORM Careers will not knowingly facilitate arrangements involving coercion, unlawful restriction of movement or other practices intended to prevent an individual from leaving employment.
We support fair and lawful remuneration, working conditions, working hours and rest arrangements and respect workers’ lawful rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
Candidates should receive clear and accurate information about employment opportunities. FORM Careers will not knowingly participate in deceptive recruitment or deliberate material misrepresentation of an employer, position, remuneration, location or working conditions.
Equal Opportunities & Non-Discrimination
FORM Careers is committed to equal opportunity and fair treatment and prohibits unlawful discrimination before hiring, during employment or upon leaving employment.
This includes discrimination based on race or colour, sex or gender, religion, political opinion, national extraction, nationality, age, HIV/AIDS status, disability, sexual orientation, marital or family status, family responsibilities, trade union membership or activity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Recruitment decisions should be based on legitimate professional requirements, skills, experience, qualifications and suitability for the relevant position.
Age, Identity & Right to Work
FORM Careers requires appropriate document checks, including identity, proof-of-age and right-to-work documentation, to be completed for all workers before they commence employment, to confirm that they are permitted to work in accordance with applicable legal requirements and FORM Careers’ policies.
We will not knowingly place an individual into employment where doing so would breach applicable minimum-age or right-to-work requirements.
Personal documentation obtained for verification purposes will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
FORM Careers does not currently provide or arrange accommodation for its workers.
Candidate Protection & Risk Identification
As part of our recruitment activities, FORM Careers remains alert to indicators of unethical or exploitative employment practices. These may include worker-paid recruitment fees, forced or child labour, restrictions on freedom of movement, withholding of identity documents, discrimination, deceptive recruitment or concerns regarding the legitimacy or transparency of employment arrangements.
Concerns raised by candidates or workers will be taken seriously. Where credible indicators of exploitation or modern slavery are identified, FORM Careers will assess the circumstances and determine appropriate action before proceeding with or continuing the relevant recruitment activity.
FORM Careers periodically reviews its recruitment practices, internal procedures and identified modern-slavery risks. Identified risks and lessons arising from their management will be considered as part of our ongoing procedures and used, where appropriate, to support continuous improvement within our direct operations.
Suppliers & Business Partners
FORM Careers has a relatively limited professional-services supply chain, principally comprising technology and software providers, professional advisers, telecommunications providers, marketing and digital services and general business service providers.
We expect clients, suppliers, agents and other business partners to comply with applicable employment, labour and human-rights legislation.
FORM Careers requires its suppliers to maintain appropriate written policies addressing relevant labour and human-rights matters, including, where applicable, modern slavery, human trafficking, forced and child labour, worker-paid recruitment fees, withholding of identity or immigration documents and unlawful discrimination.
FORM Careers may request evidence of relevant policies where appropriate. If credible concerns regarding serious worker exploitation arise, we may seek further information or corrective action, decline to participate in an arrangement, suspend engagement or discontinue the business relationship.
Raising Concerns, Accountability & Remediation
Employees, workers, candidates, representatives, agents, clients and suppliers are encouraged to raise concerns regarding suspected modern slavery, human trafficking, child labour or serious exploitation directly with a Director of FORM Careers.
Concerns will be handled appropriately, sensitively and, where reasonably possible, confidentially. FORM Careers prohibits retaliation against anyone who raises a genuine concern in good faith.
Employees, workers, representatives and agents are expected to comply with this policy. Suspected breaches will be reviewed and appropriate corrective or disciplinary action may be taken.
Where FORM Careers identifies that it has caused or contributed to an adverse impact relating to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour or child labour, we will take appropriate steps to provide for or cooperate in remediation.
Where an impact is directly linked to FORM Careers through a business relationship, we will seek, where reasonably possible, to encourage appropriate corrective and remedial action.
Review & Public Disclosure
FORM Careers will periodically review this policy, its recruitment practices and identified risks to ensure they remain appropriate to our operations and support continuous improvement.
This policy forms part of FORM Careers’ public disclosure of its approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, child labour and ethical recruitment and will be made publicly available.
FORM Careers operates from Singapore and Australia and provides recruitment and executive search services internationally. Our approach is intended to support ethical recruitment and worker protection across our global recruitment activities, while recognising and complying with applicable local laws and regulatory requirements.
This policy reflects FORM Careers’ commitment to responsible business practices and the principles underpinning applicable modern slavery, human trafficking, employment, labour and human-rights legislation in the jurisdictions in which we operate and recruit. This includes, where applicable, relevant legislation and standards in Singapore and Australia, including Singapore’s Prevention of Human Trafficking Act 2014 and the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) in Australia.
To raise a concern, speak directly with a Director of FORM Careers.
