About the role
We are looking for an experienced Associate Landscape Architect to join a Singapore-based design team working on mega-scale international masterplanning projects.
The role requires someone who understands the application of landscape design at a masterplanning scale. Projects are exceptionally large, including masterplans in the region of 17,000 hectares and major developments incorporating up to 90km of waterfront, so experience thinking beyond individual landscape packages and applying landscape strategy across major developments is important.
The Singapore studio has a Landscape team of around eight people and a Masterplanning team of approximately ten, with the two teams working very closely together. The successful candidate will sit within Landscape but collaborate extensively with the Masterplanning team, as well as the wider Architecture team, to develop integrated design solutions from the earliest stages of a project.

This is an opportunity to work on projects at an unusual scale, including masterplans covering thousands of hectares and extensive waterfront environments.
With around eight people in Landscape and ten in Masterplanning in Singapore, there is a particularly close relationship between the two disciplines. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside both teams on major international projects and to influence how landscape is integrated into the overall masterplan, rather than working on it as a separate design package.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead and contribute to landscape design across large and mega-scale masterplanning projects.
- Apply landscape design thinking at a masterplanning scale, considering the relationship between landscape and the wider development.
- Work closely with the Landscape and Masterplanning teams to develop integrated design strategies.
- Collaborate with Architects and other disciplines across the studio.
- Contribute from early concept and masterplanning stages through to the development of landscape proposals.
- Take an active role in design reviews, presentations and client discussions.
- Coordinate landscape input across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Support and mentor more junior Landscape Architects and Designers.
- Contribute to the continued development of the Landscape team in Singapore.
- A qualified Landscape Architect with strong professional experience.
- Ideally operating at Associate level, or a strong Senior Landscape Architect ready to step up.
- Demonstrable experience on large-scale or mega-scale masterplanning projects.
- A strong understanding of how landscape design is applied at masterplanning scale.
- A well-rounded Landscape Architect who can work across different aspects and stages of a project.
- Strong design ability with the confidence to contribute strategically to major masterplans.
- Comfortable working as part of a highly collaborative Landscape, Masterplanning and Architecture environment.
- Strong communication, presentation and coordination skills.
- Middle East project experience would be an advantage, particularly on major masterplans or large-scale developments.
- Experienced enough to bring value at Associate level, while remaining hands-on, adaptable and open to developing further within the practice.
