Head of Business Development, Southeast Asia

FORM Careers is recruiting for a Head of Business Development to join an established international design practice and lead its business development function across Southeast Asia.

This is not a sales-driven role. The focus is much more on strategic business development and marketing, working closely with senior leadership to strengthen market positioning, identify and develop opportunities, build relationships and coordinate the practice’s approach to pursuits across the region.

The role will lead a team of three, providing direction across regional BD activity while ensuring opportunities, pitches and client engagement are coordinated effectively.

You will work closely with senior design and business leaders to understand market activity, shape pursuit strategies and connect the right people around key opportunities. You will also oversee bids, pitches and presentations, while ensuring the practice presents a consistent and compelling message to clients and the wider market.

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience within business development, marketing or a related strategic role.
• Strong knowledge of the Southeast Asian market, ideally gained within architecture, design, property, construction or professional consultancy.
• Experience leading and developing an established BD team.
• A strategic approach to business development rather than a purely sales or revenue-target-driven background.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work closely with senior leadership, clients and external partners.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple markets, pursuits and workstreams simultaneously.

This is a senior regional position for someone who understands how a design-led professional services business grows: through market intelligence, relationships, positioning and well-planned pursuits rather than hard sales.
